About A Song Called Life

Thank you for taking a gander at my blog…this is an exciting new venture for me in 2014.

I was driving home from work one day, and as I was singing along with Gaga (you bet!) a random/fun/incredible idea came to me. I love music…I can’t sing (yet), but I can write (at least I think I can).  So, I thought it would be pretty neat to pick a song a week for 52 weeks and write about it. How does it make me feel? What do those lyrics really mean?  How do they make that sound so good? What the fu** is this world coming to?!

Just some random things that come to mind when I stop and take a moment to really listen to what I’m listening to.  And, there are a few things I’d like to note about my blog before you take the plunge into awesomeness…

• I am not a professional music/song critic…I am simply picking a song each week and writing about how it makes me feel, and how I feel it should be interpreted in this “song called life”.
• There will be a wide variety of genres I use for my song choices…I do not favor one over another, it will just be the song that hits me right that week.
• The Sum Up:  This is just a spot where I choose one word from my interpretation to sum up my feeling of the song… for all you lazy bums, you can just skip to this part to get the gist of the entire post.
• Give me some feedback!  I’d like to get a conversation started about some of these…I don’t want to have an intense debate every week, but I wouldn’t mind hearing other people’s opinion about the songs I write about.
